What is a Menstrual Cup?
A Menstrual Cup is a type of reusable period product, made of medical-grade silicone. It is worn inside the vagina, either around or below the cervix. During menstruation, the cup is used to catch menstrual fluid rather than absorbing it.
You can use a Menstrual Cup safely for up to 12 hours, depending on your flow. The cup needs to be removed periodically to be emptied and cleaned, and then it can be immediately reinserted.
Since a Menstrual Cup collects your flow instead of absorbing it, it won’t interfere with the delicate pH and bacterial balance in your vagina.
The Benefits of a Menstrual Cup
1. Long-Lasting Protection
No more frequent tampon/pad changes! A menstrual cup can be worn safely for up to 12 hours, depending on how heavy your flow is. On your first couple of days, it’ll probably be more like 4-6 hours before you need to empty it. When your flow starts to slow down, you can use the cup for the full 12-hour duration.
2. Comfortable and Free.
When you find the menstrual cup “fits” you, you won’t feel it after placing it correctly!
3. Convenient, Only One Cup.
It’s 10 o’clock at night and you just jumped out of the shower. You’re drying off and you spot a SPOT on your light blue towel! You go to grab a tampon from under the sink and are horrified to find out that you only have ONE left! This may last you a few hours, but then what?! Do you get dressed and go to the store or wad up some toilet paper to hold you over??
No more running to the store or sending someone to pick some tampons and pads for you! No more checking if you have “enough” when you’re about to leave the house.
All you need is just one Menstrual Cup, you can use one cup throughout the duration of your period.
4. No dryness, No irritation, Keep Your PH.
Tampons absorb everything including your body’s own natural secretions. A menstrual cup collects your menstrual flow and doesn’t interfere with the delicate pH and bacterial balance in your vagina. Since it doesn’t absorb your natural secretions, you don’t get that cringe-worthy, painful, dry removal!
5. No Limits, Do what you want.
Menstrual Cups can be used at any time. You can use a cup while you sleep, work, lounge, hike, ride a bike, yoga, swim, party, travel, fly, bungee jump, walk the dog, dance, ….etc., etc! The list is endless!
6. Sleep longer and better.
The menstrual cups hold more than the average “Super” sized tampon, which can allow you to get some extra sleep. Since the cup collects your flow and keeps it contained, you won’t wake up to a river of butt crack blood and stained sheets! You can sleep better without any worry.
7. Eco-friendly, and SAVING MONEY.
A menstrual cup will be reusable for 3 years or more, no need for other disposable period product, so you are protecting our environment when using a menstrual cup.
Since you only really need one and because they’re reusable, you won’t be throwing your money in the trash…literally!! Although the initial cost of a menstrual cup can go up to $30, you won’t need to purchase boxes or packs of disposables each month. You can save money every month.
8. No Allergies.
Do you find yourself with an unbearable itch and/or rash every time you use a tampon or pad? You may be allergic to something that’s in them or that was added, i.e. fragrance/perfumes, bleach.
The Monzcare menstrual cups are made of body-safe, medical-grade silicone, which are latex-free, plastic-free, odor-free, BPA-free, dioxin-free, PBE and PBDE-free, lead-free, mercury-free and cadmium free, no more irritation to your vagina.
9. Great for People with a Heavy Flow.
"If you’re like me, I had very heavy and long periods. For several days, I bled so much that I was changing my tampon AND pad every hour. Sometimes I even had to change my clothes because I would saturate both. I was bleeding so much that the doctors were concerned. I couldn’t leave my house because I was anemic. It made me tired and faint. With changing so often, it was a chore to go anywhere too far and I lived 30 miles from the nearest store!
Since I’ve started using a menstrual cup, my periods seem to have eased up and even shortened. Which has made my life a lot easier! It’s not going to be the case for everyone, but using a cup may give you some extra time between changes/emptying."
10. Easy to use.
Anyone who has used tampons, especially the kind without applicators, should have little trouble learning how to insert a menstrual cup. Simply fold, insert, and it's done.
How to Choose Your Cup Size?
The MonzcareCup is available in two sizes, Size 1 (small) and Size 2 (large). There is a small difference between the two sizes (Size A is about 0.2 inch smaller), it is important to use the recommended sizing to prevent leakage.
For Size 1 - Recommended for women under the age of 30 who have never delivered vaginally or by cesarean section.
For Size 2 - Recommended for women age 30 and over or for women who have delivered vaginally or by cesarean section.
